I need help to choose my memory!!!

I am putting together my new pc which i want to use for high end gaming. I think i have found some memory i want but i cant decide which ones to get. should i get OCZ Gold Dual Channel Kit DDR2 PC2-8500 CL5 2X2GB with a latency of 5-6-6-18 which runs at 1066mhz or should i get the OCZ Titanium Kit-EPP Ready DDR2 PC2-6400 CL4 2X2GB with a latency of 4-4-4-15 which runs at 800mhz. thanks for the help.

at the moment im using the asus p5ad2-e with a p4 3.3ghz cpu but soon i will be upgrading to a core 2 duo so ill need to get a new mother board. ill be getting one with an fsb of 1600 just ask if you need anymore info, thanks

For any ram you are considering, do your own homework.
Go to the ram vendor's web site, and access their configurator.
Corsair, Kingston, Patriot, OCZ and others have them.
Their compatibility list is more current than the motherboard vendor's QVL lists which rarely get updated.
Enter your mobo or PC, and get a list of compatible ram sticks.

Cpu performance is not very sensitive to ram speeds.
If you look at real application and game benchmarks(vs. synthetic tests),
you will see negligible difference in performance between the slowest and fastest ram.
Perhaps 1-2%. Not worth it to me.
Don't pay extra for faster ram or better timings unless you are a maximum overclocker.
