i have a ga-965p-ds3 rev3.3 mobo and gskill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPI ram with an epp profile. i have tried forcing the bios to run the ram at 500mhz (epp) but when i boot to windows and check cpuz, it shows its running at 400mhz. is there any way to get the ram to run at 500mhz?

yeah. i have tried many times now. but the only way to force it into 500mhz is by oc'ing the fsb to 500mhz. so now im at 2ghz fsb and ive got another problem. the timings are not the same as the epp. epp profile timings are 5-5-5-15. but its currently at 5-7-7-19? i cannot change timings in the bios so i cant force the epp profile. is there anyway to do it? or is it impossible to get the epp unless he mobo supports it?

ahh i looked at the board yes you are going to have to oc try changing the multiplier then you can make the ram different speed than fsb. to change cas you will have to change to manual settings
