What? GTX 295 quad SLI isn't good enough for you? ;)

The GTX 295 performs around the same as one GTX 480. Quad GTX 295s scale quite a lot worse than GTX 480 SLI, which would probably provide around 80% FPS increase.

In terms of speed, here are the rankings:

1. GTX 480 3-Way SLI
2. HD 5970 Quad CrossFireX
3. GTX 470 3-Way SLI
4. HD 5870 Triple CrossFireX

Note that in some games HD 5970 CFX will perform worse than HD 5870 Tri-CFX simply because quad CFX scales horribly, although most games should work fine.

I would go for GTX 470 3-Way SLI because with an i7 @ 4.2 GHz, a GTX 480 3-way SLI system will use more than 1150W, otherwise HD 5970 quad CrossFireX.
