I am using vista 64 with a 9800gx2 attached DVI to a syncmaster 2443bw

Situation:

My monitors native/optimal settings are 1920x1200 at 60hrz - confirmed by a constant monitor pop up + powerstrip

Powerstrip actualy tells me the 1920x1200 is somehow mode 2 and my settings seem to be stuck on mode 1 at native 1280 x 1024

My nvidia control panel says my native is 1280x1024 and only allows me 1920x1080 which kinda distorts everything.

Cant seem to get nvidia custom resolutions working either.

Is it possible to change values somewhere, in registry perhaps, for my nvidia control detecting the correct resolution?

All help appreciated

Go to your monitors website, there should be a driver for your monitor (it's not really a driver, but an .inf file that installs to Windows so Windows, and any hardware you have (your video card for instance) will know what the monitor is and it's available settings.
