i have a computer that i recenlty added an extra stick of memory to. After i added the memory it seem to be working fine. The person who use the computer said about a week after that they can't open their saved documents so i went to reload microsoft office. When i turned the computer on i notice its not passing the POST stage. I'll see the windows screen then the screen that does the checks then i'll get a black screen then it goes back to the windows screen. The keyboard and mouse have stopped working and i can't get to run the diagnostic cd. What else can i do and what could be the possible cause of this?

Take out the RAM, try then. Try to reset the BIOS. I don't think you mean the Windows screen, but the BIOS screen. Once you get to the Windows is loading screen, you are past POST.

How do i get into the BIOS if the keyboard and mouse isn't working? i already took out the memory but i can't do anything else because it's not responding to anything and i've tried replacing the keyboard and mouse but nothing.

Reset the BIOS on the motherboard, there will be a jumper you can move to reset it. Unplug the PC, move the jumpter for a minute or so, try it again.
