Hi guys, I have a 3-4 year old pc...i don't have enough budget to make a new rig so i thought of buying a new processor might as well pump my pc a bit...i have a decent gfx card and memory so processor...question is, will the e7400 be compatible with my cheap mobo 946GZAB. its supposed to carry C2D but i checked intel and e7400 wasn't on the list of compatible processors...

I'm asking this as i was thinking the topic about the mobo is outdated...thanks!

If it isn't on the list, then the answer is no. Try to find a used E4700 or E6700 which are the fastest CPUs that you can install.
