How to squeeze the most performance?

Forum Overclocking : General Discussion How to squeeze the most performance?

Hey folks i was wondering if I post my system specs if someone with the same or have experience with Ocing similar hardware (i.e: same proc with same brand motherboard) can help me aqueeze the most performance from my system?? I would greatly appreciate it! Here is my specs:

tower: INWIN Fanqua
CPU: AMD PHENOM C3 965 3.4GHZ QUAD BE 125W
RAM: OCZ AMD BE DDR3 1600 CL8-8-8-24
GPU: XFX RADEON 4890 NON REFERENCE( I HAVE NO NEED TO OC THIS CAUSE IT DOESNT OC 4 ***! GOOD CARD THOUGH LOL)
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS 890GX CHIPSET USB 3.0 AND SATA 2( CANNOT REMEMBER EXACT MODEL # BUT I THINK THERES ONLY 1)
CPU COOLER: CORSAIR H50
PSU: SOME OFF BRAND 550W CANNOT REMEMBER BRAND NAME

What i am really lookin 4 here is the best possible total system performance. i am wondering if someone with some OC experience would have some insight into this. I will also make a list of questions that may make iy easier to let everyone know the exact type of info i am looking 4 here.

1) WHAT CPU FREQUENCY? HOW DID U GET TO THAT FREQUENCY( MULTIPLIER? FSB? HT? ETC
2) WHAT NB FREQUENCY? ( MEANING WHAT FREQUENCY WILL GIVE THE "SNAPPIEST" PERFORMANCE IN GAMES AND EVERYDAY APPS ETC
3) WHAT VOLTAGES WERE USED TO OBTAIN THESE CPU AND NB SPEEDS?
4) WHAT OTHER ASPECTS OF THE PC SHOULD BE CHANGED TO GIVE BETTER PERFORMANCE? (BIOS SETTINGS ETC.)
I welcome any help i can get I have OCed before but only with my old gigabyte am2+ board with the same proc I just switched boards and memory from ddr2 to ddr3. it seems this Asus board takes different voltages on certain things and I have never tried to OC the NB but I heard it makes your system faster if done right. However i tried it on this board and it doesn't seem to make any damn difference in performance so i was wondering if there was a "sweetspot" or somethin IDK im a noob at this. This board also crashes games and *** like that my Gigabyte board seemed a hell of alot more stable but i think i may just be doin some *** wrong thanks guys and God Bless!

Will this be a good build to overclock 2500k to 5.0GHz?

I'm the one that told him that a Silver Arrow will get to 5Ghz, so I'll take the blame...
