I reinstalled windows XP on my machine, during the installation, i got an Error message saying that the driver.cab file could not be installed. well i skipped the file and the instal completed. Everything seemed fine but now i cant instal addons such as adobe flash player into the internet browser. When i download the file, instal it it says it instals correctly but it still does not activate... Is this because of the driver.cab file that did not instal correctly during installation? How do i fix the driver.cab file instalation so i can make it work? when i opened the CD i could not find the Driver.cab file. Any suggestions?

I know this is late, but the install program will ask you to hit ENTER to retry. Do so, even if you have to do it repeatedly until the install continues.

Basically, don't take NO for an answer. It may stop again on another file. Again, hit enter when you get the retry prompt and eventually your cd will start to function again.

Good luck.

Damn Windows, anyway!
