Power Saving Options are being ignored

My computer will not go into sleep mode, turn off the hard disk, or even go to a screen saver. I manually put it to sleep and it ethier wakes right back up or it waits 5 minutes and comes right back on. I dont have any programs running that should affect it sleeping. I went into the bios and made sure all the wake-up-on settings were off. I tried different power options and settings, and nothing is working. I never had an issue before, the change being that I have a new motherboard and reinstalled windows 7 on a SSD

Did you install all the drivers for the motherboard? Chipset, power management, etc...?

If you have secondary drives installed, try to turn off search indexing on them.

If you could elaborate on that. Sounds like it could be an issue. I have windows on an SSD and my other things are on an external USB3 HDD.

Is he SSD the only internal drive though? See if this will happen without the other drive on the system. I figured you upgraded to an SSD from another drive and have that second drive in the system as well.

the drives I had before were a raid 0 set up, another diffeent issue I am having that they dont work with my new set up, another single drive is set up, only has music on it. My external harddrive has all my not necessary programs. I turned off indexing to the external drive
