Hi there,
So I've heard that
i7 920 at stock is meant to run RAM at 1066 MHz

What do I have to OC the CPU to in order to match RAM that is rated at
1333MHz and 1600MHz?

thanks

Furthermore,
I'm not familiar with RAM timings...but I believe lower timings = faster RAM?

Which would be superior
1333 RAM with 9-9-9-24 timing
or
1066 with 7-7-7-20 timing?

thanks

Ram timings is somewhat analogous to seek times on a hard drive, and ram speed is analogous to hard drive data transfer rate. If that helps.

But, modern cpu's have very good memory controllers which keep the cpu fed with data from any type of ram.

My rule on ram is to get enough, and don't pay much more for faster speeds or timings.

There is very little real difference between the ram sticks you posted.
