Need advice on buying a PC

hi mate well really you want to think about what you want then buy the componets and build the pc to how you want it i would recomend 2gig of ram a quad core procceser and 512mb of ram serial ata hard drive and dvd rewriter and a nice 550watts powersupply if u want realy good preformance then go for amd also good to run games on or intel if you just want it for office use hope this helps

Thanks alot, this really helped me since I was gonna buy intel but Amd seems much better for me cos its better for games, it also seems cheaper .
After seeing your response i checked the tom hardware charts for processors and it shows that the intel quads out preformed the amd ones on pretty much everthing :S.
