i'm going to build a pc but i don't know how to chose a psu for my computer. the system that i plan to choose is
• GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
• Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Retail
• EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
• CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

can you recommend for me some good psu. is that better or okay if you use a higher watt psu that your system needs. for example: my system just need a 500W psu but is that better if i use 750 W psu. I just wonder. thank you guys for answering my question

Rolli's choice looks good, although you have to play the rebate game. You might also consider this Antec Earthwatts 500W: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371007. It is $80 and free shipping. The OCZ Fatal1ty is made by Sirtec, which has a spotty reputation. I haven't seen a technical review of that one yet, so I wouldn't buy it.

I've been watching for some good reviews of the OCZ Fatal1ty 550 & 400 for a while now.
Others have been recommending the PSU based on "faith" IMO. The OCZ Fatal1ty 700 has quite a few reviews already. But the OEM for that 700w PSU is different from the 550 & 400.
I did see one German site review the 550W and they seemed to think it was a CWT based PSU based on the internals. If CWT really is the OEM I'd be comfortable recommending it, but as jtt283 mentions others think the OEM is Sirtech like the OCZ ModXStream Pro modular PSUs.

Yes, links please. I'd love to read a competent technical review (e.g. jonnyguru, hardwaresecrets) with load testing and waveform analysis on this one, because the specs do look good.
