Hello,
I hope someone out there might have some suggestions. I recently bought a new HP Pavilion dv7 laptop. It's a great machine however I am having a problem with the display. It came with a ATI Radeon HD 3200 video card. The problem is with web graphics. It is not all graphics but many, mainly in the ads or in the pictures on main pages such as yahoo, msn or aol. The color gets blotchy. This happens in you tube videos as well. I think the real issue is that the card is not blending color properly. In some other programs the tabs are showing 2 distict different colors whereas if they were blended properly they would appear to be a 3d effect. I also have a HP dv 9000 series laptop with an NVidia card that does not seem to have this problem. I have installed the latest drivers Catalyst 9.2. I took the laptop back to where I bought it. They tested it and there was a problem with the video so they replaced it. This one is doing the same thing. They told me its cause it's HD and it's normal to see some distortions on regular graphics on a HD screen. I am not buying that explanation since my HD screen on my other laptop does not show the same thing. Also when I hooked up another monitor through VGA it showed the same distortions. This is very annoying. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
