set up a ftp ???

I want to set up a ftp.I have a internal ip of 10.0.7.89.I think then i am behind a firewall (NAT).will ppl outside my internal network be able to access my ftp ?
if no,wat will be the solution so tht ppl can access my ftp.

Im assuming your using a router? You can use either port forwarding or put your computer on a DMZ, both will allow you to access the FTP site from the internet. Port forwarding is far more secure though.

i assume that your 10.x.x.x address is a school network address. therfor i can also assume that you dont have access to the translation device. we can conclude that you are screwed.

The only way to do it would be to set up port forwarding on the router device to direct requests for ports 20 and 21 to your internal IP. If you're unable to change settings on the router...
