Well, if you have video, then it's likely installed correctly. If it came with a cd, pop that in and it should install drivers for it, which could be why you can't find it in hardware settings. You can also download the drivers for it from the Nvidia website, I believe, but I don't know where (I've not owned an Nvidia card for quite some time now), but you may be able to find it with google, or someone here will fill it in for me.
