Here is my MB info.

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1 (build 6001)

Board: ASUSTeK Computer INC. M2N-MX SE Plus Rev x.xx
Serial Number: MF7082G03519671
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 0503 03/26/2008

Memory: 2944 Megabytes Installed Memory

Slot 'DIMM0' has 2048 MB
Slot 'DIMM1' has 2048 MB

Display onboard MB. NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

I have just bought and installed the following.

Nvidia GeForce 9600 GSO 768MB GDDR2 DVI TV PCI-E

when I boot up the system it does not register this card and I can not find it in the hardware settings.

Any Ideas?

Well, if you have video, then it's likely installed correctly. If it came with a cd, pop that in and it should install drivers for it, which could be why you can't find it in hardware settings. You can also download the drivers for it from the Nvidia website, I believe, but I don't know where (I've not owned an Nvidia card for quite some time now), but you may be able to find it with google, or someone here will fill it in for me.

Might have to switch which to boot in bios as well from on board to pci.
