Hi Everybody,
As I understand it Hybrid Crossfire will allow me to plug one monitor into me onboard card and one into my discreet card.

Details:
Asus M3A78-EM Motherboard
ATI 780G chipset
Integrated card: Integrated Radeon HD 3200
Discreet card: Asus EAH3450/DI/256M ATI Radeon HD 3450 Chipset 256MB DDR2 Dual Display PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card

As per my understanding if I install this discreet card I will be able to run in Hybrid crossfire ...

http://ati.amd.com/technology/hybr [...] ology.html (this is where I got my asumption from) -

Pls advise if I am correct

Thanks !

It is possible to do so. Or else, by using single monitor, you could use Hybrid Boost Technology.

Great thnx ! On the wesbite I linked to (http://ati.amd.com/technology/hybridgraphics/technology.html) it said to match up the Integrated 3200 with a 3450 'hybrid x2' / 3470 'hybrid x2' / 2400 'hybrid x2'. I was looking to buy a 3450 card - none of the ones I saw from Asus, Diamond or Saphire were labeled 'hybrid x2' - what does this mean ?

'Hybrid boost' helps provide some boost in graphics over the discreet GPU. But that doesn't seem to power up for the upcoming gaming requirements. I think, getting 'Hybrid Power' technology would be great to think of while using a powerful discreet GPU with the Hybrid CrossFireX board.
