Hey all, my video card crapped out on me, and I'm looking for the best setup for gaming that I can with 300$. It'd be great if it were less, but either or. I can do CF or single card Nvidia. I have a 790FX mobo, cpu Phenom II 720BE, and 4 gigs of ram. I play on a 22" monitor with a resolution of 1680x1050. I don't want to step down in performance, but need some suggestions. BTW - my PSU is 650watt. Suggestions, with links, would be awesome!! Thanks in advance.

I guess it would help if you guys knew what I play....Red Alert 3, Fallout 3, The Witcher, Far Cry 2, and World in Conflict. (and a splash of Crysis on the side)

I'm basically leaning towards the 4850x2, a 4870 with 1 gig memory, or a 260GTX (216 core), which would y'all suggest?

It`s a toss up between the 4870 and GTX 260. Get which gives you the best deal.
The 4850X2 is a fine card but it`s big, noisy under load and its cooler does n`t exhaust out of the case, which can cause issues if it is installed in a case with less than good airflow.
