You have a considerably better rig than me, and I got 13000, so it's quite unusual that you got lower than me. I also have all my stuff on stock, and I have stock-cooling also.

Specs:
Asus M-73 Nvidia 750a Sli
Phenom X4 9950 2.6 Ghz
4 Gb Corsair 5-5-5-15 800 Mhz
8800 Gts 512 Mb (Special edition, But I don't know the difference from the original, lol, it got the same clock speed)
Corsair 650 TX Power Supply
Windows XP

Ok im guessing a bit here but i do know that the i7 will do some pretty differant stuff with the cores. Like drop to one and overclock itself slightly in some instances depending on whats being asked of it.
My guess is that the Phenom X4 isnt doing this and so is getting better scores, also you are running Vista 64 and not XP
With your Rig you should really be running Vantage and comparing your score against others with a similar rig.

hey thanks for the reply guys. . . yeah i already figured it out. . . 11K score was Vantage, I tried using 3dMark 06 and I got a 14700 score. all are in the normal ranges. but some told me my 06 score is still on the low side, but thats ok with me at least it is on the normal range and considering my components are all stock. thanks again :D

i know, but its all worth it for me. . . this has been a major upgrade because I came from a P4 socket 478 system which I used for 5 years. the difference in performance is nothing short of amazing. so far I've been very happy with it.
