SoundMax does not play surround sound when it is set to 7.1 and all options in the control panel are as well. Sound only comes from the two front speakers. I am tired of searching everywhere to try and find a solution and don't want to spend the time filling in the Asus technical support form that is like a midterm. I am thoroughly annoyed with this problem and am about to buy another sound card and hang the on board audio. If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.
