Hello,

Im not sure what to do, well I purchased and installed a 800mhz 2gb stick of ram, to go with my other 2gb 800mhz stick.

So anycase I installed it and it was working, but for some reason it disabled my audio? (realtek audio)
But when I remove the 2gb stick of ram, the audio comes back,
When both are in, at device manager it shows "Other Devices" "Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus" Yellow question mark.

Saying "No drivers are installed for this device."
for location "Location 65535 (Internal High Definition Audio Bus)"

My system specs are
Motherboard - Intel DG31PR
Processor - E4600 2.40/2.40ghz
Graphics - Powercolor Ati HD 4650
Ram - 2gb 800 mhz stick + 2gb 800 mhz stick (im trying to install)
Windows Xp Pro 2002 SP3

Do I need a reformat or what?
I tried installing the new audio driver, removing the old driver and just installing the audio driver from disk, (not in that order of course) I also installed the new drivers for the graphics card and the motherboard ones as well.....
Im completely lost, any help would be extremely appreciated.
I really need my audio back...

It's either your memory stick or the motherboard itself. Have you checked your BIOS settings? Check if your motherboard's internal audio is activated.

Failing that, can you try getting a memory stick that works and installing that? If everything works again, the RAM you bought is faulty. If your problem continues, then your motherboard might have problems.
