Definitely go the 1066mhz ram. Since you do plan on overclocking, the 800mhz ram will limit your overclock IF you keep the ram synced with the fsb. If you don't keep it synced, which i personally like to do, then either would work just fine.

There no real world noticeable advantage to having it synced that i have experienced. But for some reason i like it that way anyway :)

I say definately go with the 800 ram :]

Not to just contradict Lucuis, but for several reasons:

1) that 1066 ram requires 2.2v

2)PI Blacks are really good sticks, need 1.8 max 1.9v and performance-wise(considering theyre CL4) pretty much will be on par with 1066 CL5

3) By default this cpu runs at 333mhz fsb so you can have your CPU running at 7.5x400 for 3ghz(just an example) and have your ram synced and within specs running cool on low voltage

But that just my opinion, based on a fact that you dont plan to max out the overclock

Very good points, i didn't even look at the ram specs, my bad. I was just assuming he would eventually risk a 3.0ghz overclock. Then again, a 4.0ghz overclock would be a bit much. So 1066mhz ram wouldn't be necessary.

Nice catch.
