Dell Inspiron 9300 Intel Pentium M 1.73 (Pentium M 740 J).
At start CPU temp 43oC 109oF, GPU temp 64oC 147oF

This laptop is getting fairly old now but I'm starting to use a lot of intensive software on it and can only fit 2Gb of RAM in, which sometimes get near to being maxed out. Before replcaing it, I was wondering if I could overclock and how far to go?
The other problem I am having with it is that the fan is coming on a lot of the time now. At home, I have a desktop cooler underneath, which helps but on the road, the bottom of the laptop is very hot, you can barely hold it for more than 10seconds or so right on the underneath and heat is coming through the keyboard a bit. I think it's the GPU overheating on the right hand rear side of the laptop.

So far the Dell Inspiron laptops I've worked on didn't have adjustable BIOS settings that would allow any kind of overclocking, all those possible settings were grayed out for information only, but I haven't dealt with a 9300 series yet, so good luck to you.
