Hello,
Yesterday I tried installing fedora core on my sytem, installation was not successful and I cancelled it. But my system initially had windows 7 on it,when I try to boot with windows 7 system automatically switches off while loading windows screen. So tried fresh installtion of windows 7,again here while copying files or installing files screen it switches off(not shutdown, abrupt off). Don't know how to resolve this, can somebody help me what's going wrong with my system? why can't I even install a fresh copy of windows?

Hi nik,

Thanks for your response. I formatted the drive which I tried to install LINUX using windows 7 DVD. After format while copying files/installing files the system was getting automatically turned off,so couldn't install windows 7. But later on tried to install windows 7 on other HD I had and it was successful and I formatted other HD also.

Can you please tell me which is the best LINUX I could try installing as it's first time for me also where can I get full installable instruction?

Thanks in advance.
