DVD drive in Device Manager but not in My Computer

Hi,
After playing Thomas train game on my Dell desktop (by kids) I found that my DVD+RW drive TSST TS-H653F stopped working, it spins a bit then dies.

I can see it in device manager listed with yellow !!! (exl.mark) , tried to updated driver, no result, it says that current driver by Sonic Solution 8.0.0.212 is still be best. Tried firmware update from dell drivers, can't install : "No drive present".

Surely I can NOT see this drive in My Computer. I'm on XP Pro

Can I assume that I need to replace it? or there is something else to try ?

Try deleting the upper and lower filters.
