I currently run two 9800gtx 512's in SLI. I'm wondering if buying a 3rd is worth it. Or if upgrading to a newer card is still a waste of $ at this point... My system: intel E8400 at stock speed, Nforce 790i Ultra, 4GB DDR3 ram, 2x 9800gtx 512's, 2x 150GB raptors + 1x 500GB western digital, mach1 1000w modular power, in Cosmos S case...

Aparenty you wont see as much gain from adding a 3rd, as you did adding the second. I guess it all depends on how much money you have to spend.

Stay away from the pre-overclocked versions to save a bit of money, and do the overclocking your self.

I have a single Zotac 9800GTX, and im going to add a second in sli rarther than 'upgrade' the card to a new single gpu one.
