when trying to open Services in windows xp it shows The user policies Prevent MMC from creating the snap-in how to fix it?

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

That message shows you're using a machine which has been set up to prevent unauthorised changes. Perhaps it's your office machine or was one in the past. To work around it you need to speak with the IT Department or if the computer is your own, use the System Administrator acocunt in Safe Mode to go into the Registry and make the appropriate changes.
