Processor: Phenom II X4 940BE, AM2+, 3.0GHz, 8MB, BOX
Cooler: Noctua NH-U12P, AM2/K8/s775
MB: M3A79-T DELUXE, AM2+/AM2, 790FX, DDR2, GBLan, ATX
RAM: 4GB Dual Kit DDR2-1066 F2-8500CL5D-4GBPI 5-5-5-15

Old PSU Zalman ZM600-HP Silent 600W, and case Antec Sonata II.

Long story short, would you think this system can be OC'd to around 4GHz~? Would you change anything in it?

Well i have been keeping close tabs on Phenom 2 OCers with off the shelf retail chips and my conclusion is: those reviewers didn't really push these chips! Yes its been done on this mobo on air in my research past few weeks :p

I would change that casing to either a Cooler Master 690, NZXT Tempest or Thermaltake Armor hehe
Disclaimer: As always YMMV when OCing

Good to hear, I've even seen some posts of up to 6,1GHz OC on this baby. I'm mostly wondering if my old PSU and Sonata II cooling allows some decent OC, I'd be more than satisfied with 4GHz already :)

AMD said at the initial launch that 4GHz was possible on air - 5GHz with water - 6GHz with sub zero cooling

No reason to dismiss these claims with what we know...
