I've heard that the stock cooling for processors suck, I'm also on a tight budget. I've been looking at the Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 and want to know if it is any better then the stock cooling. If I save enough money I could get the Rosewill RCX-Z940-SL but that isn't an option for me now, please don't lead me toanother product that is like 30 dollars, if you have a good alt please keep it under 15... Thanks! :)

IDK if they have the stock HSF that comes with the 7750 there, but it will give you a good idea of how good the Alpine64 is.

Thanks for the link, but I just can't see anything to compare too.

My wife has the alpine 64 on her (my old) X4 9850. It is supposed to be better than stock, but I am not impressed. Idles around 40C. Her X2 5000+ also ran a little warm, I think around 36C idle. Its quiet, but it just isn't anything close to say Xigmatek 1283 or those in the 35-40 dollar range.

If you want to overclcock I'd say save your money and get a better cooler when you are ready. Just use the stock for now.

stock cooler will be fine on stock settings. if you end up wanting to OC then get a new cooler later.
