No. Faster memory and larger buses mean higher bandwidth. Sometimes extra memory slows things down slightly due to extra latency. However for those into video editing and other similar things this is good news.

Kinda pointless for the average user since 1gb is enough for 2560x1920(?) on most games. I think only Crysis really wants more.
