Motherboard Issues

I have just built this computer. I get 3 beeps at startup like beep-BEEP-BEEP. The computer will not boot to the desktop, it only went to the desktop after I first installed Windows XP. Now, it restarts itself after the boot screen goes away. But, it works in safe mode. I already eliminated the the possibility of it being the graphics card and hard drive. I'm thinking either CPU, motherboard, memory, or PSU. What do you guys think?

XFX GTX 260

Are the BIOS settings on default and no overclock of CPU and RAM?

Yes, everything is at default.

If it can work in safe mode, isn't software mostly the problem? Were you able to load the chipset drivers?

google BIOS beep codes and it might help.

Did you check the manual that is on the Reference Guide CD?

try and get memtest and burn it onto a CD or something than test the mem, if that shows as clear do a basic boot e.g with only minamul stuff on it like one CD drive one HDD unless you have one one stick of ram etc
