Hello,
Does the Intel I915P chipset support overclocking the FSB to 1066Mhz with DDR2 800(JDEC SPEC)in order to Support the Core 2 Duo? Anyone get it to work? I've got 2 DHells oops.. GX280 optiplex mini towers (4DIMM Slots 4GB) Grantsdale Board I915P/G MB & an LGA775 2.8 GHz cpu with no x64 support... Even if I could run an E7500 maxed out would be cool.

i915-i955 chipsets dont support Core 2's I believe only the i965 and the P31 and above do. You coudl try dropping one in and seeing what happens but I doubt it would work. Not to mention since these are dell computers you wont be able to overclock the FSB...

Thanks for pointing out the bios issue of no control. DELL "This is not so very nice jerry"(apoo seinfeld). Also I think there's a L2 2MB/core max 2Cores so that's another issue. Appreciate you taking your time to post a reply. Thank you !
