Installing an old sata drive into new pc

Hello,
I had a dell 5100 its broke I want to put the good hard drive into a dell 9150 but the pc wont bootup from the old drive or detect it in any way help please

What model is the HD - definitely SATA?
Does it show up at all in the BIOS?
Does it definitely have power (spin up)?
If the old PC broke, how certain are you the HD is good?
