Crucial memory scanner told me this is compatible for my pc:

Crucial 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Model CT12864Z40B

I plan to buy this instead CORSAIR 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Model VS1GB400C3

The only difference is brand and price, will any kind of 184 pin ddr sdram ddr 400 be okay?

Thanks

The voltage required and CAS Latency could be different between the two listed. If Crucial says the RAM is guaranteed to be compatible that'a as good as your MB's qvl list compatible RAM. I wouldn't go so far as to say ANY DDR 400 will work in the board. There is always the chipset factor as well as the voltage required and adjustments available to be concerned with.
