Pretty much the same price at the moment, which one should I get? taking into account ability to overclock and the other usual things that define a CPUs awesomeness

Definitely the 710.

710, but to be honest pay the extra £20 for a 720 as it will overclock a lot further.

I'm amazed those are about the same price. The 8750 is noticeably cheaper in the US than the 710. The 710 is faster clock for clock and will overclock higher than the 8750 all while consuming less power, as everyone has said go with the 710.

it might not OC better actually because on amd's cpu's their HT base can't go much further, so maybe a 14x7mhz OC max since that's as high as most people get.

I just picked up a 720. It's absolutely worth a few extra bucks. If you can't afford it go with the 710, it has the 45nm architecture.
