EVGA GeForce 8800GT no video until after reboot

I am running a an EVGA GeForce 8800GT video card on a Gigabyte EP45-UD3R motherboard. Whenever I cold boot, I get no video; however, once POST completes, I can hear the beep. If I CTRL-ALT-DEL after this point, the computer reboots with video and everything works fine. From this point on, as long as I don't turn the computer all the way off, I don't have any problems. But once I start it cold again, I have the same problem. I've tried messing with the CMOS settings, particularly setting the primary display to PCIE vice PCI, but nothing has worked. Any ideas?
