I'd like to build a cheapish computer that will last a while. It doesn't have to play the most demanding games, and I have the following:
Samsung 22" LCD monitor
WD 500GB drive
IDE DVD drive
Vista OS.

I was thinking that a Phenom II build might do very well.

GIGABYTE GA-MA790GP-DS4H AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128352
Sapphire 4830 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102803
PP Power & Cooling 610 W - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703005
Mushkin $GB Memory - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146726
AMD Phenom II 940 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103471

That would come to about $670.

Any alternative recommendations?

Tone down a wee bit on other parts and slot in a far better GPU?
