Hello all,
In my house we currently have a PC with a Geforce 5200 PCI 256 mb video card. I also have a PC with an ATI Radeon 4870 X2 2gig video card. In regards to Video OUTPUT in as much depth as possible what are going to be the noticable factors when outputting to a 32inch 1080P LCD TV. Complete PC Specs below:

AMD Athalon 64 X2 Dual Core
4 gigs memory
Geforce 5200 PCI 256mb video card

Intel Quad Core 3.0ghz CPU
8 gigs memory
Sapphire ATI Radeon 4870 X2, 2 gigs PCI-X.

either video card should work. however the 4870 more than likely is hdcp compliant where the 5200 more than likely isnt. so no blueray/hddvd on the 5200.

either box has plenty of cpu horsepower for a media station. but i'd look at upgrading the 5200 to a 9400gt or 9800gt if you plan on watching HD content or playing games. the motherboard running the athalon chip should have a pci-e 16x slot you can use for video or games
