can i connect an rca cable from my reciver to my laptop and watch tv channels on it? or is that wishful thinking? I do have a high end laptop that i paid 3000 dollars for about 3 months ago so it's top of the line per se.

If i can't do that, What can i do to connect it to my laptop?

I believe you need a TV tuner card to be able to do that. I don't know of any laptops that come with TV tuners though...


Can you give us the exact make and model of the laptop?

alienware m17 about 3 months old i spent 3000 bux on it so it has almost all the top of line stuff

That phrase is meaningless, you need to post actual detailed specs.

The spec sheet would state implicitly if there were a TV tuner card installed. Like I said before, I myself don't know of any laptops that come pre-configured with TV tuners...
