Phenom 9600 to Penom II 940

I just upgraded from a Phenom 9600 to a Phenom II 940, all i can say is wow, what a difference, but after a couple days i have noticed that my Windows Media Player doesn't work anymore, is there any way to fix it or should i just reinstall windows, I'm running Vista 64. If a reinstall is the only fix its no biggie, i've just never ran into this problem before.

Without any further details, I can only suggest you just uninstall/reinstall Windows Media (go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs).

Well installing the 940 had nothing to do with media player not working, that was just a coincidence. Your problem is elsewhere.

Unless his BIOS needs to be updated, so his computer is unstable.

No loss. Who cares about Windows Medium Player anyway? Get Media Player Classic or VLC.

Agreed MISRy. Have you tried updating your BIOS nitefox1? Did the problems start after you installed your Phenom 940?

In any case, it could be totally unrelated to your upgrade. Have you tried running other players like VLC? Again, you can try reinstalling Media Player through Add/Remove accessible via Control Panel.
