I was curious about the lifespan of the various thermal pastes used to bond coolers to chips. How often are people re-bonding their coolers to their chips? Asked another way, how long is it before you start seeing temperatures creep up?

I have read about Coollaboratory Liquid MetalPad Thermal Interface Pads.

Anybody have any experience with these?

I've used as5 for as long as I can recall and have never reapplied unless i took it apart for some reason

Never seen the pads before I found as5 to be the best tim all around. It's cheap, it's everywhere, and it is in the top 3 of every comparison I've ever seen. On the rare occasion it's not first it only losses by 1 or 2 degrees.
