New Monitor

Buying new Gateway Desktop. Also considering their 24" LCD Flat Panel display (FHD2401). But the reviews on it are only luke-warm. Most complaints concern 'backlight bleeding'. Does anybody know if A)this is serious or just pickey? and B) if all Flat Panels do this? This stuff is expensive, and don't want to make a mistake here. I am a casual FPS gamer, video transfer things, photos, music etc. So, I think I do stretch my computer to the limits. I had planned on matching up my new Gateway computer to a new Gateway display. But now, I'm a bit nervous in doing this. Any thoughts?
