I am having issues connecting to the Internet from a laptop. This all started when McAfee was install on the machine. I disabled the McAfee firewall, then removed the program altogether, but the problem still persist.
I can ping a website, and it will resolve the address just fine. I can also use remote desktop connection, windows update, and get to hppts sites, which makes me think that it is just port 80 that is being blocked.
I have tried renewing the ip address, dns flush, winsockfix, and turning off windows firewall, and still no luck. What other options could be causing this? Possible a virus? or some remenant of McAfee still on the machine blocking that port?
If anyone has any suggestions, i would love to hear them.
