3- MEMORY: 4 GB (Please inform me which DDR2 memory should match this system perfectly)

4- HARDDISK: SEAGATE 500GB 3.5" HDD SATA-II 7200RPM 16MB Cache (ST-3500320AS)

5- VIDEO CARD: HIS (PCI EXPRESS) ATI PCX 4870 1GB (256-BITS) DDR 5

6- POWER SUPPLY: COOLER MASTER 700 WATTS ULTIMATE SERIES SLI READY (RS-700-AAAA-A3)

Because the mobo you selected supports DDR2 & DDR3, it only has 2 DDR2 slots. I would recommend changing it to the ASUS P5Q Pro or to the Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P.

Choose some DDR2 800 RAM rated at 1.8V. I'd recommend Mushkin or G-Skill.

Cooler Master PSUs are OK, but you can get better, and 700W is overkill for your system. Corsair HX520 would be an excellent choice.

The rest looks good.

Items 2, 3, 6, & 8 can be improved. (and probably 4 as well).
DDR2 800 is a good match for that CPU and P-45 motherboards.
Where are you ordering your parts from? What other ordering options do you have?

How did you end up choosing the P5QC motherboard and ASUS TA-66 case?

Thanks for your information and suggestions. I have checked the other P5Q motherboards and found that the ASUS P5Q L Pro has P43 chipset whereas the latest one is P45. So I have found the following P45 motherboard:

ASUS (INTEL) P5Q INTEL P45+ICH10R 1600 FSB (LGA775 – SND+LAN-DDR 2) PCX SLOT

Please inform if this is good choice. Also besides this the other P5Q motherboards available are:

ASUS (INTEL) P5QL-CM INTEL G43+ICH10 (LGA775 - AGP+SND+GIGA LAN) PCX SLOT

ASUS (INTEL) P5QL PRO INTEL P43+ICH10R 1600 FSB (LGA775 - SND +LAN- DDR2) PCX SLOT

ASUS (INTEL) P5Q-E INTEL P45+ICH10R 1600 FSB (LGA775 – SND+LAN-DDR 2) 2x PCX SLOT

Please guide. Thanks and best regards. :)

Thanks for your information. Actually I am getting the stuff from a nearby hardware store as they owe me some money and at the moment unable to pay back the money so they offered me to get the hardware instead. But I am satisfied that I am getting everything at good price. I myself chose P5QC motherboard but now I have come to know that its not what is required. Hopefully with the guidance of people like you I would be able to complete my build successfully. :)
