WMP CE PPC2002 streaming problems

Hi,
I use the CFCOM control which embeds the WMPCE SDK for
PPC2002 activex control.

We use the control in a streaming Windows media scenario
on an intranet. The problem is during streaming remote
media files, the control pauses for a few seconds then
resumes either on its own or when the user presses the
buttons PAUSE -> PLAY.

This happens even in situations where there is ample
bandwidth ( >9Mbps avail ) and there is only one PPC
device running the app !!!

Please note that all audio and files are encoded in 64Kbps
bitrate.

Can anyone shed some light into this issue?
Any idea, thought, inside-info are welcome.
