I have a dual lnb direct tv dish and I bought a multiswitch so I can make it
a 4 lnb dish. I bought a Terk multiswitch. When I got home I read the back
of the box and it says this "You will need a Terk diplexer at each of the
locations to seperate the signal back to the tv antenna for cable and
satellite. Well Im not going to use the cable part of it. I just want to
run the two lnbs into it and have the 4 coming out. Two of them will go to
each of my 2 direct tivos. Did I bought the right switch? Do I need this
diplexer if Im not using the cable part or the antenna part? Any help is
appreciated. Thanks.

don't worry about the diplexor unless you have an off-air antenna. run both
cables from your lnb to the multi-switch and you'll be fine.

I usually mount that multiswitch under the eve where it won't be soaked by
rain... a little water it will handle, but don't let it sit in the water.
