Toshiba laptop keeps saying low battery last 2 days and its plugged into electric outlet. Vista computer.

Have you tried ignoring it and waiting to see if the laptop shuts down as the battery runs out despite being connected to the electric outlet ?

If it just keeps working normally the error message is a false alarm.

If not, I would guess the power supply unit has failed -- if it's an external unit these can be replaced quite cheaply if you risk buying a generic one instead of a (doubtless overpriced) Toshiba one.
