Hi there.
Being new to this, I was wondering if my temps were normal or too hot. At idle, my CPU sits at core 1 with 40C and the rest 30-32C.

Under Full load from Prime95, core 1 goes to 53C and the rest range 45-50C.

Just wondering if this is normal or if my computer is in jeopardy.

In case you missed it I am running the AMD Phenom II X4 955.

Thanks all!

Youre fine. I wanted you to see that by using 1 core primarily itd get hotter than the others. This will change, as each app has different demands, and 1 core, or the core being used the most, will be the hottest

Thanks! I'm a noob when it comes to multi core cpus. My last computer wasn't even a 64 bit! Its been a while! I just read that the phenoms max temp was 62 and I wanted to make sure that 53C as a high was ok. Thanks again!

Those temps are fine and well under the limits. A decent Zalman barrel cooler should lock you down under 40 in most cases though. I would be more worried about your chipset and GPU temps atm.
