Hi there, my Alienware motherboard (Foxconn Nforce 590 SLI c51xem2aa - 8ekr52h) has fried and I need to buy a new one. Any suggestions?

You can try replacing that fried thing with an equivalent Asus motherboard. Also, I suggest posting this question on the Homebuilt section, so that you can get feedback on a motherboard that suits your current components well (which you should mention specifically, btw).

Thanks r_manic for the reply. I am a 40ish mom trying to find a replacement part for my son's computer. We just moved two days ago so of course all the files are still packed. This alienware PC is totally out of my realm of understanding LOL! All I know is that this particular motherboard has been discontinued and I am not sure what I can buy to replace it that would be compatible.

Once I get the info I will post on the other forum. Thanks again!
