Has anyone tried using Windows 7 Beta Ultimate with the new AMD X4 955 3.2Ghz core? I just bought and assembled my system, but somehow in the system manager (My Computer->Properties), Windows 7 recognizes my AMD x4 955 as a 1.6GHz quad core!! I was like..WTF!! Has anyone had the same problem? Is it a glitch or something majorly wrong with something?

The task manager showed that I had 4 cores running and other than that, I'm not really sure on how to check my CPU speed. Help me, anybody~

Read your cpu/motherboard manual. Its amazing what it will tell you.

But since your too lazy, its called cool n quiet, it downclocks your cpu when your not doing anything intensive to save power.

PEBKAC

------------------------------ Which Chip? Well, it depends on which set of thieving b@stardz you choose to support: The ones who use insider trading to enrich themselves while running their company into the ground? Or the ones who illegally pay vendors to not support the first group?

Gee, thanks..~_~"
This was my first ever attempt at a custom build, so, sorry for the lack of expertise.
..And thanks to the people who responded nicely.
