problems installing vista/XP using.

I can enter the BIOS no problems, and all the hardware is set up right.

I put a DVDRW into IDE1 and set this to boot first, my hard drive is connected to SATA1 set to second boot.

When I try to install windows after the DVD start reading I get this error.

"Reboot and select proper boot device, or insert boot media in selected boot device and press any key"

However I did put my motherboard CD in and lets it boot from cd and it wants me to make a boot disk, so the cd rom is ok
However I do not have a floppy drive.

Would you know what this is ?
I have never seen this problem before,

Please help!

Welcome to the forums!

Sounds like you have to press a key in order for the Operating System CD to load.
